The Symposium on Human Factors and Design (HFD) addresses issues of the fields of human factors and design in the sector of transportation logistics. The technical areas include but are not limited to the following:

•       Advanced support systems for elderly people;

•       Accident-based approaches and methods;

•       Design and ergonomics of advanced systems for transport and logistics;

•       Education and training in the area of logistics and transportation;

•       Knowledge management and ontology-based services;

•       Personalized Information and situation awareness

•       Human factors issues of intelligent systems and communication technologies;

•       Human-computer interaction design;

•       New approaches for sustainable and safe transportation and logistics;

•       Public safety issues in transportation;

•       Simulation-based tools and/or methods;

•       Internet of Things in HFD for transportation logistics;

•       Transportation logistics’ systems interoperability;

•       Security issues in transport and logistics.
